鳥取県立博物館

常設展に足を踏み入れるや否や右手には鳥取県産の大きな翡翠が現れたかと思うと、目の前には鳥取県の地質模型で一気に地球科学好きのハートを鷲掴み。一般的な日本列島の成り立ちから、鳥取砂丘の説明、国内一の生産量を誇った県の鉱物となっているクロム鉄鉱など地元に関連する展示、また一般的な鉱物展示や蛍光鉱物、岩石の違いなどバランスよく展示されています。化石や生物の展示も含め参観者の興味を引きつける工夫がなされているからか、また清潔感もあり自然と長く滞在してしまう博物館でした。（2018年5月）

Tottori Prefectural Museum

If you are geology lover, you are excited once you step into the regular exhibition area finding a big local Jadeite stone on your right and Tottori prefecture's geology scale model in front. This museum is not very big but exhibitions are well balanced from local related geology/rocks/minerals to general ones. The museum is clean and explanations  are designed to attract people. I enjoyed quiz too.（May 2018）
