三尾大島の柱状節理

​悪天候のため三尾大島の柱状節理を近くで見ることはできませんでしたが、似たような柱状節理を対岸で見ることができました。照来層群歌長流紋岩で、200-300万年前の火山活動で形成されたと考えられています。（2018年5月）

Columnar Joint at Mio Oshima

It is believed that the columnar joint rhyolite formation was created by volcanic activity 2-3Ma. Due to bad weather condition, I couldn't approach to the Mio Oshima(island) but could walk the opposite shore which also has similar columnar joint, shown picture below. (2018.May)
