Tategasaki

Rocks around Tategasaki consists of intrusive rocks, compared to Onigajo nearby, which is formation from ignimbrite. You can enjoy watching many columnar joint from the sea by taking the tourist boat or you can walk to the Tategasaki, 40 minutes on foot. (2017.May)

楯ヶ崎

お隣の「鬼ヶ城」は1500万年前の噴出岩でできていますが、楯ヶ崎周辺は貫入岩が分布しており、柱状節理の発達した様子を観察することができます。訪問時は観光遊覧船で海からの景色を味わいましたが、陸からの場合は遊歩道入り口から40分ほどで楯ヶ崎に行けるそうです。ガマの口、別名日本版「青の洞窟」も観光船で見学できます。（2017年5月）
